Jeremy Brewer, 47, of 2212 Boyd St., faces charges of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment after he allegedly grabbed the wheel of a moving vehicle in the 1400 block of Route 15 South in Lewis Township on June 2, causing the vehicle to crash, state police said in an affidavit.

While traveling along Route 15 North, Brewer and the driver of the vehicle became engaged in a verbal altercation, during which Brewer allegedly shoved the alleged victim before grabbing the wheel and intentionally pulling it to the right, causing the vehicle to crash into a concrete barrier, court documents said.

Brewer was arraigned on the charges by District Judge Christian Frey, and jailed at the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
