Kalvin Sampson, 34, of 523 Arch St., faces charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly struck and choked an alleged victim on June 8, 2026, city police allege in an affidavit.

The alleged victim sustained an injury to her head during the assault and was transported to a local hospital, court documents said.

Sampson was arraigned on the charges by District Judge William Solomon, and jailed at the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
