DEWART -- A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at routes 405 and 44 about 1:20 p.m. Saturday, according to state police at the Milton barracks.
Adam Erdley, 50, of Montgomery, operating a 2009 Harley Davidson, was traveling north on Route 405 when his motorcycle struck the right rear passenger tire of a 2024 Mazda whose driver, traveling east on Route 44, had "proceeded through the intersection without clearance," police said. Erdley was rushed to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he died of his injuries, police said.
The driver of the Mazda, Arman Shirazi, 47, Nanticock, was taken by ambulance to Geisinger to get treatment for minor injuries, police said. An unidentified passenger in his car was treated at the scene for minor injuries, police said.
