The driver of this Toyota Avalon, Darryl Payne, 59, a resident of Old Lycoming Township, was being treated at UPMC Williamsport for injuries he suffered when the car crashed into this hemlock tree in the 2100 block of Mill Lane in the township about 7:15 p.m. Monday, according to Lycoming Regional police. Before crashing into the tree, the car hit a wooden stand that held several mailboxes, two of which landed on the ground, police said.
