Woman seriously injured in Loyalsock Township accident
The woman driving this Toyota Corolla, Barbara Stackhouse, 77, of Williamsport, suffered serious injuries and was rushed by ambulance to UPMC Williamsport following a crash at the East Third Street entrance to Interstate 180 West in Loyalsock Township about 12:15 p.m. Monday, according to state police. Briefly trapped in the car, the woman was safely extricated after firefighters broke out a window. Her car and a pickup truck collided, police said, adding that the driver of that vehicle also was taken to the hospital. A third vehicle also was involved, but it only sustained minor damage and did not need towing, police said. There was no information on Stackhouse's medical condition. PHILIP HOLMES/Sun-Gazette
