Rasheed Malek Green, 24, of 1236 Broad St., Montoursville, was held for court on all charges stemming from two separate domestic disturbances with his girlfriend that took place at the home they share, according to state police. In the first incident, which took place about Aug 15, Green struck the woman and then put one hand around her neck, restricting her breathing and causing the woman to go "unconscious for about 20 to 25 minutes," police alleged. Two days later, Green allegedly struck the woman in the head, the forearm and ribs," according to troopers dispatched to the couple's home. It was then that police learned for the first time of the earlier incident. Following a preliminary hearing Monday before District Judge Gary Whiteman, Green was held for court on charges of felony strangulation, simple assault and harassment. He remains jailed in lieu of $20,000 bail.
