One man was shot Saturday morning and another was taken into custody for questioning following a shooting inside a home on Lycoming Creek Road in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming Regional Police Chief Christopher Kriner confirmed at the scene.
The shooting took place inside 1955 Lycoming Creek Road, just north of Vesta Avenue, about 9:40 a.m., Kriner said.
“Both men know one another,” Kriner said. There was no information on the motive for the shooting.
Besides Lycoming Regional, state troopers and city police rushed to the scene as did UPMC paramedics and city and township firefighters.
The victim was taken by ambulance to UPMC Williamsport. Information about the extent of his injuries and medical condition were not known.
The investigation is ongoing and charges against the suspect, who remains in police custody, are pending, Kriner said late Saturday afternoon.
