PHOTO PROVIDED Moments after his tractor-trailer truck hydroplaned in the southbound lanes of Route 15 at Powys Curve in Lewis Township, the trucker’s rig jackknifed and crashed into the embankment about 1130 a.m. Sunday, shutting down the travel lane for at least two hours, according to Trout Run Fire Chief Nick Smith. The driver, who was not injured, climbed out of the rig on his own with his dog, Smith said. At about the same time, a southbound minivan with two occupants also crashed on Route 15 when the vehicle hydroplaned and overturned in the median about a mile north of Trout Run, Smith said. No one was hurt in this crash either, he said.
