An investigation is underway into how a small front porch fire at 1048 Memorial Ave. got started early Wednesday morning, according to city fire officials. Firefighters rushed to the scene to investigate a reported structure fire about 4:30 a.m. A resident in the house had already doused the fire before firefighters arrived, officials said. Damage to the porch was minor, they added.
