Court document provides fresh details to recent Old Lycoming Township shooting
Moments before gunfire erupted inside 1955 Lycoming Creek Road on Aug. 15, brothers Levis Gage Johnson and Dominic Reynolds "squared up" in an argument with Johnson telling Reynolds "You got something to say," according to a Lycoming Regional police affidavit. Johnson told his brother "he was going to fight him because he 'was legal,' meaning he had a license to carry a concealed firearm," the court document stated.
"Johnson subsequently pulled a firearm from his pocket, and chambered a round into the magazine," investigators alleged. Reynolds, stepping toward his brother, told him "Dude, you're going to have to blow that (expletive)," the affidavit stated.
Other occupants in the home reported hearing what sounded like "the sliding of a handgun followed by a pop. Reynolds was then heard yelling 'You shot me. You shot me bro,'" police said in the court document.
Johnson, 26, who lives at the scene of the shooting and claimed he shot his brother in self-defense, told police he "deliberately aimed for the right side of Reynolds' chest to avoid striking his heart, the affidavit stated. Reynolds, who "infrequently resides in the same house,"
was taken by ambulance to UPMC Williamsport to get treatment for his injuries. However, he later left the hospital against the advice of medical staff, police said.
Charged with aggravated and simple assault as well as recklessly endangering another person, Johnson, who will have a preliminary hearing on Sept. 9 before District Judge William Solomon, remains locked up in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.
City woman allegedly shoplifted at Wegmans two days in a row
Just one day after she stole an estimated $262 from Wegmans at 201 William St. on June 27, 32-year-old Jessica Lynn Erb was back at the same supermarket, where once again she put items in a shopping cart and walked out the door without paying for $313 worth of merchandise, city police alleged in an affidavit. Before she could flee the scene on June 28, officers confronted her, police said. Charged with two misdemeanor counts of shoplifting, Erb, of 565 Memorial Ave., apartment 105, has waived her preliminary hearing before Biichle and was released on $10,000 bail.

Moments after William Adams was suspected of being involved in an illegal drug transaction, an undercover detective, assigned to the county's Narcotics Enforcement Unit, stopped a car in which the 53-year-old man was a passenger in the 400 block of East Third Street in the city about 5:50 p.m. on June24. The detective told Adams to exit the vehicle, it was stated in an affidavit. While he was questioning the man, the detective noticed Adams chewing and swallowing "a small amount of (suspected) crack cocaine," the court document stated. Adams, who also goes by "BJ" Adams and who eventually admitted to swallowing the controlled substance, had in his possession "a crack pipe," the detective said. Charged with tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia, Adams, of 1411 Dewey Ave., has waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Aaron Biichle and is free on $5,000 bail.
Clinton County man faces felony sex charges involving minor
Jesse Dillon Roberts, 52, of Lock Haven, has been locked up on sexual abuse charges for molesting a female minor under the age of 12 in Jersey Shore in mid-July, Lycoming Regional police alleged in an affidavit. Not only did Roberts have inappropriate contact with the victim, but he solicited her to send him an image of her partially nude, telling her he "would give her $20 for such an image," investigators alleged. Roberts faces felony charges of unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, corrupting the morals of a minor, prostitution plus another count of indecent assault, but this one is a misdemeanor. Following his recent arraignment before District Judge Gary Whiteman, Roberts was committed to the county prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
