The driver of this empty water truck suffered injuries when it went off Route 15 and overturned at the Route 14 interchange at Trout Run about 3:40 a.m Monday, according to Trout Run Fire Chief Nick Smith. The driver, identified by state police as Richard Tabatabai, 63, of Williamsport, kicked out the windshield and climbed out of the wreckage on his own, Smith said. He was taken by ambulance to UPMC Williamsport to receive medical treatment for his injuries, Smith said.
