In one of the five remaining recent prostitution cases that were brought again last week before District Judge William Solomon, state police dropped a felony charge of patronizing victims of human trafficking as well as a misdemeanor charge of patronizing a prostitute against Ryan Michael Williams, 45, of Mill Hall. In another of the remaining cases, the judge dismissed the same two charges against Lamar Dewey Ploppert, of 1726 Almond St.
In the cases of Justin Carpenter, 46, of Gillett, and Dustin Steele, 31, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, investigators dropped the felony charge while the two men each waived their preliminary hearings on the one remaining misdemeanor charge.
In the last case, Scott Allen Gunter, 55, of Bradford, waived his preliminary hearing for both the felony and misdemeanor charges.
These five men, along with six others whose cases have either already been resolved or will be handled in county court, were arrested early last month on supporting a prostitution operation at the former Green Spa and Massage on River Avenue in Loyalsock Township between January and June of this year.
At the time of the arraignment before Solomon, all 11 were released on bail.
