An investigation into a serious crash on Aug. 27 that critically injured a motorcyclist in Newberry remains ongoing, Williamsport police said Friday night.
The rider, believed to be in his 50s, was traveling north on Ridge Avenue when he and a car collided at Hillside Avenue about 8:30 p.m., police said.
The car was heading east on Hillside, police said.
The identities of the motorcyclist, who remains hospitalized at UPMC Williamsport in critical condition, and the driver, who suffered minor injuries, have not yet been released.
A state police accident reconstructionist processed the crash scene as the intersection remained closed for several hours after the accident. Both vehicles were towed, police said.
More information may be released in the coming days.
