Lock Haven man faces child sex assault charges involving multiple victims
Jesse Dillon Roberts, 52, of Lock Haven, faces a multitude of child sex assault charges after four juvenile victims, ranging in age from 10 to 15, reported that Roberts had inappropriately touched them, a Lycoming Regional Police affidavit said.
During an encounter with one of the victims, Roberts allegedly requested to take pictures of her upper private area in exchange for $20.
When she refused, Roberts allegedly told the 10-year-old he had done so with another friend of hers, she told police.
In a separate encounter, during an excursion to a swimming hole, Roberts allegedly touched the three other alleged victims in a way that made them feel uncomfortable.
"Why you have to be like that? I will get my Port (expletive) after you, Roberts allegedly told the youths after they removed themselves from him, according to court documents.
Roberts is currently a registered sex offender, stemming from a 2010 guilty plea to charges of aggravated assault, indecent assault, indecent assault and unlawful contact with a minor, with a registered address in Williamsport.
However when authorities attempted to make contact with him there, his spouse advised that he was not home, and she was unaware of his whereabouts, an affidavit said.
Roberts later contacted his probation officer, relating that he was on his way to Bucks County to turn himself in, but failed to do so, and was taken into custody on Aug. 16.
During an arraignment on three counts each of unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, two counts of sexual abuse of children, and one count each of prostitution, corruption of minors and failure to register as a sex offender, Roberts was denied bail by District Judge Denise Dieter, citing his lengthy criminal record, which dates back to 2000 with a guilty plea to corruption of minors.
Further, Roberts was previously charged with attempted murder, but pled guilty to aggravated assault, and is currently on probation in Bucks County on charges similar to those he faces in Lycoming County.
There is no combination of bail conditions that would protect the safety of the community, Dieter ruled.
City man charged with disorderly conduct, other charges
A city man has been charged with loitering and prowling at night, harassment and disorderly conduct after 13 tenants residing in the 2000 block of Memorial Avenue reported that someone had been pounding on their door and fleeing before the knocks could be answered throughout March, a city police affidavit said.
More than 15 allegations were made by the tenants, most of whom were elderly females, against 48-year-old David Williams, of 2001 Memorial Ave., who was allegedly identified via doorbell surveillance video, according to an affidavit.
Williams was positively identified by his mother, as well as prior police contacts, court documents said.
Following an arraignment before District Judge Denise Dieter, Williams was remanded to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Jersey Shore teen faces additional charges
Already facing a slew of charges, a Jersey Shore teen has now been hit with additional counts of corruption of minors, furnishing alcohol to minors and possession of alcohol by a person under 21, according to a Lycoming Regional Police affidavit.
Authorities charged Gage Michael Murray, 19, of 322 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, with the additional offenses after two juveniles reported that Murray allegedly provided them with alcohol at his residence on July 24.
Murray allegedly also engaged in sexual activity with one of the females, however she stated the contact was consensual.
Murray was arraigned on the charges by District Judge Denise Dieter, and released on $35,000 bail.
City woman charged with disorderly conduct
Responding to Dollar General, located at 336 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, at 9:15 a.m. on Aug. 19, Lycoming Regional Police allegedly discovered a frantic Abigail Patricia Russell, acting erratic, the department said in an affidavit.
Russell, 23, of 1060 Vine Ave., requested she be evaluated for injuries she said she sustained from a fall from her bicycle.
Cleared by medical staff, Russell, believed by authorities to be under the influence, was advised that there was an active warrant out for her arrest, and was taken into custody.
During a search of her belongings, police discovered three broken glass pipe devices, court documents said.
Russel was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and possession of drug paraphernalia by District Judge Denise Dieter, and jailed at the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $35,000 bail.
