New business spotlight on Derma Bella Skin Care

2 min read

A new business in Loyalsock Township focuses on helping people take care of their skin problems.

Nurse practitioner Kirsten Bubb said Derma Bella Skin Care has been well received since opening last year.

“There’s been a good response to it,” she said. “Patients seem to be satisfied which makes my job worth it.”

Bubb and Dr. William Pagana, a family practice physician, who owns the business, felt the time was right for offering services targeted at skin disorders such as acne, hyperpigmentation, dry and oily skin, and problems caused by the sun and aging.

Both are specially trained in aesthetic medicine. Derma Bella is located at the Family Practice Center, 1205 River Ave., where Pagana has his medical practice. Jessica Myers, client liaison, said it’s the type of business plan that has been done elsewhere in the country. She said after some research it was decided the time was just right for the business locally.

“We wanted a one-on-one with clients,” she said.

Derma Bella’s trained staff work with patients utilizing in-office procedures offering at-home skin care treatments.

Some of the procedures include chemical peels, fillers, botox, and rejuvapen for treating fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, burns and stretch marks. Myers said Glytone Avene is a high-end skin product and alternative to prescription medications that is offered to Derma Bella patients at an affordable price. “Glyton Avene can only be purchased by a doctor,” she added.
