One of the oldest operating new car dealers on the east coast and the oldest operating car dealer in Pennsylvania has joined the Fairfield Auto Group Family. Hulsizer Chevrolet in Montgomery, which was up until recently owned by Bill Schneck, has partnered with the Fairfield Auto Group. Schneck a 4th generation auto dealer is great grandson of founder CL Hulsizer who started the business in 1900.
Dedication to the local town of Montgomery and the surrounding community is a main focus of the Hulsizer organization, which will be keeping the name and the existing staff for the dealership. One-on-one customer service isn't often found in the larger regional dealerships however it is one of the unique qualities of the Hulsizer name that Fairfield will continue at the Chevrolet dealership. Excellent customer service is a Fairfield hallmark as well.
Schneck in a recent interview says, "There's care here, and you want to do things right, that's pretty much where it all starts. It started there for my dad all the way back to CL Hulsizer and it started there for me as well. If you're going to do something, do it right. You've got the care of the Hulsizer Dealership and the size and strength of a Fairfield dealership... Its going to make a little dealership that is very good even better."
The Fairfield organization will do a few things to help improve the facility and the operations of the dealership without sacrificing the quality and personal customer experience that so many have found at this location over the years.
Schneck, who will remain in the showroom part-time invites customers past and present to come and visit the Montgomery location to see some of the new improvements and increased selection of inventory. He also reminds customers that the legendary excellent Hulsizer customer service will continue and even improve.
Fairfield Auto Group has two local Ford Dealerships, Fairfield Ford in Montoursville and Ford of Williamsport on West Fourth Street in Williamsport. Fairfield Volkswagen is also at the Montoursville location and in addition to the NEW Hulsizer/Fairfield location in Montgomery there is Fairfield Chevrolet Cadillac in Lewisburg, PA. The Fairfield dealerships are owned by Rick Quigley and the new Hulsizer Dealership is co-owned by Quigley and Denny Spotts.
