The Himmelreich Memorial Library has named Elizabeth "Betsy" Lewczyk to a new position as national outreach director for "The Awakening In America."
A Williamsport native, Lewczyk most recently served in significant roles for two leading Christian universities, as well as for entrepreneurial and influential small businesses in Texas. Prior to that, she served in administrative, service and teaching positions within central PA, Georgia and Wisconsin. She also held key management positions in the financial services sector within the greater Philadelphia area.
"As a devoted believer and a talented professional, Betsy will be a valuable asset in assisting our expansion into new areas with 'The Awakening In America,'" said Rick Gathman, library board chair, according to a news release. "We're currently in development of ambitious new national projects to complement our other ongoing international programs."
"It's exciting to return to the Susquehanna Valley and utilize my faith and professional experiences in the evangelical outreach of The Himmelreich," Lewczyk said, according to the news release. "I can think of no greater reward or challenge than working to advance the Gospel throughout America."
The Himmelreich Memorial Library is reaching listeners in 48 nations on six continents through its international podcast, "Walk With God." The library's "Worldwide Book Auction" is shipping books throughout North America. Thousands are being reached through the library's evangelical online prayer ministries and social media.
For over a century The Himmelreich Memorial Library has been dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through its library collections, programs, and lending services.
