Sun-Gazette wins multiple honors for advertising
The Williamsport Sun-Gazette earned multiple awards in their division in the 2025 Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association Foundation Advertising Contest, bringing home several prestigious awards across multiple categories.
The awards were presented during the PNA Advertising Conference awards luncheon in State College on September 25th.
The Sun-Gazette received First Place in Ad Campaign or Series for its Little Men Football campaign, as well as First Place in Ad Campaign Using Multiple Products for its Lycoming College/Local Sports campaign. The newspaper also captured Second Place in the same category for Long Island Pizza/Progress Edition.
In addition, the Sun-Gazette won First Place in Best Branded Content Advertising for its innovative CNY Drone Services/Spongy Moths campaign. The paper was further recognized with an Honorable Mention in Self Promotion Advertising for its in-house promotional work.

The Hoosier State Press Association judged this year’s contest on behalf of the PNA Foundation, evaluating entries from newspapers across Pennsylvania. The PNA Foundation Advertising Contest recognizes outstanding work in newspaper advertising, with entries judged on creativity, effectiveness, and design excellence.
The Sun-Gazette’s multiple honors underscore its continued commitment to excellence in serving readers and advertisers throughout the region.
