Wedding photographer celebrates 25-year milestone

PHOTO PROVIDED Emily M. Cole is celebrating 25 years operating her wedding and portrait photography business.

A milestone worth celebrating, Erin M. Cole, a respected wedding and portrait photographer in North Central Pennsylvania, is marking 25 years “behind the lens, capturing some of life’s most meaningful moments,” a news release said.

“Since beginning her photography journey in the mid 90s with her mother’s 35mm Minolta camera, Cole has built a career defined by artistry, dedication, and a deep passion for storytelling,” the news release continued. “What started as a childhood interest quickly grew into a lifelong profession rooted in both technical skill and emotional connection.”

After formally studying studio photography, black and white photography, color photography and photojournalism at Luzerne County Community College, Cole “refined her craft and developed a signature style centered on authenticity,” the news release said. “Her work focuses on preserving genuine emotion–transforming fleeting moments into timeless images that reflect each couple’s unique love story.”

Over the past two and a half decades, Cole has photographed hundreds of weddings, “earning a reputation for her calm presence, attention to detail, and ability to make clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. Her approach blends photojournalistic storytelling with an artistic eye, allowing her to document weddings as they naturally unfold.”

“Photography has always been about more than just pictures for me,” Cole said, according to the news release. “It’s about connection, emotion, and preserving memories that families will treasure for generations.”

“As the wedding industry has evolved, so has Cole — embracing new technology while staying true to her core belief: that the most powerful images are the ones that feel real,” the news release continued. “Today, Erin M. Cole continues to serve couples throughout North Central Pennsylvania, bringing 25 years of experience, passion, and creativity to every celebration she documents.”
