Williamsport attorneys named to ‘Super Lawyers’ list
Marshall, Parker & Weber, LLC, a local elder law and estate planning firm, recently announced that certified elder law attorney Matthew J. Parker and certified elder law attorney Tammy A. Weber were named to the 2026 Super Lawyers list in the field of elder law by the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers organization. This is the 18th year that Parker has been named to the list and the eighth year for Weber.
Elder law, a news release said, is the legal field that concentrates on the circumstances and legal needs of older adults and people with special needs. Elder law includes issues such as estate planning, planning for incapacity, health and long-term care planning, the protection of assets from care costs, estate administration, retirement planning and special needs planning.
“The Super Lawyers designation, conferred upon the most respected legal practitioners in the state, is based upon peer recognition and professional achievement,” the news release said. “No more than five percent of the lawyers in each state are selected by the research team to receive this honor.”
Super Lawyers select attorneys using a multiphase selection process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
“Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis,” the news release said. “The objective is to create a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel.”
