Milton-based bank appoints new president and CEO
The board of directors of Milton Savings Bank has made a change to the leadership of the bank’s executive management team. Effective July 1, Thomas R. Crissinger Jr. has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. Tom replaces Robert Crane in this role, and the board, according to a news release, would like to thank Bob for his more than 5 years of dedicated service and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
“Tom comes to the Bank with over 32 years of community banking experience,” the news release said. “For the past 18 years he has served with Central Penn Bank & Trust and its predecessors, Northumberland National Bank and Mifflinburg Bank & Trust, most recently as senior vice president and senior lender. He was primarily responsible for overseeing the commercial and agricultural lending function as well as a team of eight commercial/agricultural lenders, growing the Bank’s loan portfolio and profitability. At Central Penn and its predecessors, Tom was also a member of the Senior Management Teams. Prior to his time at Central Penn, Tom was a member of the Williamsport National Bank and Woodlands Bank commercial lending teams.”
The leadership change, in accordance with directives from the board, “will encourage teamwork and empowerment, with a strong focus on creative solutions to customer loan and deposit needs,” the news release said. “This is a hallmark of great community banking, and one which is demanded by customers in central Pennsylvania and one that will be embraced by our excellent team of community bankers.”
When asked to comment on the opportunity to lead in a new role, Crissinger said, “I am incredibly humbled by the Board’s faith in me to lead, and the chance to usher in a new way of doing business at Milton Savings Bank. I, and my team, will be laser-focused on our customers’ needs. Given the experience of this team, combined with an environment where creative problem-solving is valued and encouraged, I believe MSB is incredibly well-positioned to be THE community bank of choice in Milton and the greater Central Susquehanna Valley.”
