Truck-Lite reaches 1 year without accidents at McElhattan, Coudersport sites

Truck-Lite recently announced that its manufacturing facilities in both Coudersport and McElhattan have reached "a significant safety milestone: 365 consecutive days without a lost-time accident," according to a news release. "The achievement reflects the dedication of employees across both facilities and their countless daily decisions and proactive safety practices."
"This milestone belongs to every employee in our plant," said Alan Gertzen, production manager at Coudersport, according to the news release. "Reaching this milestone shows what can happen when everyone is committed to the same goal and works together to keep safety at the forefront of everything we do."
"Achieving 365 days without a lost-time accident is about more than a number," said Tim Hazelton, distribution and operations manager at McElhattan, according to the news release. "It reflects a year in which every employee went home safely each day, thanks to a team that looks out for one another and remains committed to safety."
The accomplishment is the result of a continued focus on safety culture, employee engagement and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
"Safety is not simply a program at Truck-Lite; it is a core value that guides how we operate every day," said Tyler Benedict, vice president of manufacturing technology, "Achieving this milestone at both our Coudersport and McElhattan facilities is a testament to the commitment and care our employees demonstrate every day. I am incredibly proud of our teams for making safety a priority and creating an environment where everyone can return home safely to their families."
While Truck-Lite celebrates this achievement, company leaders emphasize that safety is an ongoing journey rather than a destination. Both facilities remain focused on continuously improving workplace safety and maintaining the high standards that have contributed to this success.
Truck-Lite Co., LLC, a Clarience Technologies company, is "a global technology leader focused on forward and safety lighting, wiring harnesses, turn signals and safety accessories for the medium- and heavy-duty truck, trailer, off-road and commercial vehicle industries," the news release said. The company is headquartered in Erie, with additional U.S. facilities in Coudersport, McElhattan and Wellsboro, PA and international facilities in Harlow, England and Puebla, Mexico.
