Loyalsock grad earns NYU leadership award
Jess Solley, Loyalsock Township High School ’13, was selected to represent her class at the NYU SPS Convocation in May 2021.
She was honored with the Schack Leadership Award, which is presented annually in recognition of outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and service to the community.
Her accomplishment was accompanied by the following write-up, “It is a pleasure to present the NYU SPS 2021 Schack Leadership Award to Jess Solley.” A candidate for a master’s degree in real estate with a concentration in finance and investment, Solley started her career at BlackRock and came to NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate to explore her interests in real estate investing and entrepreneurship.
“Jess has excelled in the graduate program and has held numerous leadership positions within Schack’s student organization, REISA. She is the current outgoing Executive Vice President and Graduate Student Council Representative of the organization.
“Jess is the co-founder of her program’s student-led digital magazine, which covers topics on environmental sustainability and innovation in the built environment and she has also contributed to research on the topic of connectivity, digital infrastructure, and technology’s impact on real estate.
“Jess is passionate about making a positive impact on the community and it is evident in all that she has accomplished in her time at Schack.”
