September Students of the Month: Warrior Run High School

Warrior Run High School has selected four students to be honored as September’s Student of the Month. Elizabeth Allison Welliver, outstanding senior; Lindsey Nicole Trapani, Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month; Peyton Gail Meehan, Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month; and Cody Micheal Goodspeed; Milton Rotary Club Vocational Student of the Month are being acknowledged this month.

Elizabeth Allison Welliver, the daughter of Tim and Amy Welliver, is the president of the student council, the historian of National Honor Society and is a member of the Spanish club. She has won various awards including the College Board AP Scholar Award and the College Board’s National Rural and Small Town Award and has achieved distinguished honor roll. She is currently employed as a server. In her free time, she enjoys reading and dancing at D&K’s Studio of Dance. In the future she hopes to work in Foreign Services or for the government after studying international affairs.

Lindsey Nicole Trapani, the daughter of Chris and Penny Trapani, is involved in soccer and the North Union United Soccer Club. She is also the social media representative for student council, senior class treasurer and is a member of the National Honor Society. She is the soccer team captain and was awarded the 2021 Heartland Athletic Conference First Team All Star. She has also achieved distinguished honor roll in 2021 and 2022. In the future, she plans to attend a four-year college to major in business marketing.

Peyton Gail Meehan, the daughter of Gary and Jody Meehan, is involved in basketball and volunteers her time to help coach youth basketball. She has also lettered in basketball and soccer. She is the vice president of student council and a member of the National Honor Society. In her free time she also helps with special education field days and is involved at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Watsontown and Patriot K9. She has achieved distinguished honor roll and student council member of the month. Peyton is currently employed as a waitress at the Fence Drive-In and is a dog-sitter. When she isn’t working or in class, she enjoys skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting and playing with her three shepherds. She plans to attend Pennsylvania State University to study pre-medicine and then attend a physicians assistant program.

Cody Micheal Goodspeed, the son of Derek and Staci Goodspeed, is involved in student council, outdoor club, FFA, DECA and is the captain of the soccer team. He is also involved in track and field and has placed second at the district meet, qualifying for states. In the community, he is involved in the NU 04 Soccer Club. He has also earned two varsity letters for track and one letter for soccer. He hopes to be a welder and go into the Navy with the future plans to go into business.
