Warrior Run Students of the Month
Each month, four students from Warrior Run High School are acknowledged as students of the month. For the month of October, Emma Grace Pick, outstanding senior; Sidney Katheryn Bowers, Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month; Braeleigh Dawn Dunkle, Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month; and Garett John Pfleegor, Milton Rotary Club Vocational Student of the Month, were all selected to be honored.
Emma Grace Pick, daughter of George and Renee Pick, is the president of the National Honor Society, and a member of student council, concert choir and Spanish club. For the last four years, Emma has served as historian for her class. She also participates in Unified Bocce Ball and helps as a high school leader of middle school students. Emma is a graduate from the Building Leaders of the Susquehanna Valley program. In her free-time she participates as a member of the youth group and a member of the worship team at her church, the Community Mennonite Fellowship. She also enjoys hiking, singing, photography and spending time with friends and family. She plans to attend Lancaster Bible College to double major in psychology and Bible studies and enter into a five-year master’s program for clinical mental health counseling.
Sidney Katheryn Bowers, the daughter of Tim and Daphne Bowers, participates in choir, National Honor Society and student council. She has achieved honor roll and is involved in homecoming, November food drives and the special education field. She is currently enrolled in The Barn at Greystone Farm. In her free-time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. She plans to attend a four-year college.
Braeleigh Dawn Dunkle, daughter of Jeremiah and Amy Dunkle, is the secretary for student council, is a member of the National Honor Society and Warrior Run News. She played soccer from ninth through 11th grade and has a varsity letter in the sport. She is also a volunteer for special education field day and helps to run the Warrior Run Athletics Twitter. Braeleigh also helps to organize and implement food drives. She has achieved honor roll and distinguished honor roll. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and playing soccer. She plans to attend a four-year university to major in digital media and minor in American Sign Language.
Garett John Pfleegor, the son of Jason and Jacklyn Pfleegor, is a member of the Future Farmers of America club. He currently volunteers at the Turbotville VFW children’s Christmas party, and has done so for the last four years. Garett also takes his time to help out an elderly neighbor around his home and outside work. In the summer, Garett works for CWD Construction. In his free-time, he enjoys four-wheeling, dirt biking, go-karting, farming, working on small engines and spending time with family and friends. In the future, he plans to work in construction for CWD Construction as well as working on his family farm, the Pfleegor Family Farm.
