Jersey Shore Students of the Month for December
Jersey Shore Area High school selects two seniors per month to honor as students of the month. Nathan Robert Horn, Lions Club Student of the Month; and Arianna Lynn Milbrand, Business Professional Women’s Student of the Month, were selected to be acknowledged for the month of December.
Nathan Robert Horn, the son of Robert and Jan Horn of Cogan Station, is four-year member of the Future Business Leaders of America. He has also been a four-year member of the cross country team and track and field team. He was involved in National Spanish Honors Society for his junior and senior years. Nathan has been co-captain of the cross country team during his junior and senior years competing. He is also the president of National Spanish Honors Society his senior year. Nathan has been a recipient of distinguished honor roll throughout each year of high school. He qualified for FBLA states for securities and investments his junior year. Nathan was also part of the 4×400 state qualifying and record breaking team for track. In his free time, Nathan enjoys running, spending time with his family and dog, and relaxing. After high school Nathan plans to attend Misericordia University to major in biochemistry.
Arianna Lynn Milbrand, the daughter of Jennifer and Matthew Milbrand of Rauchtown, has been an honor roll student for all four year of high school. Arianna was on the soccer and track team her freshman year. Her freshman year she was also the FBLA vice president, was on homecoming committee and a part of the Paw Print newspaper. Her sophomore year, she was a part of Key club. During Arianna’s junior year she was a member of the Bible club, Renaissance club, Key club, homecoming committee and prom committee. During her Senior year she was inducted into both National Honor Society and the National English Honor Society. She also became the president of both the Renaissance and Skills USA clubs. She became the vice president of Bible club, participated in the Powderpuff game and helps with the morning announcements. Arianna is a very active student within and outside of the school and in her community. She helps with many events and outreach programs at her church, Nippenose Bible Fellowship. She is employed at Crossroads Child Learning Center and enjoys working with teachers and students. She also assistant coaches her brothers soccer team. She enjoys spending her free time with her friends and family, baking and organizing and leading events. Arianna plans on attending Lock Haven University to dual major in early childhood education and speech and language pathology. She plans on becoming a speech therapist in an elementary school.
