Montoursville Area High School December Students of the Month
Montoursville Area High School recognized their December students of the month. Emily Rakestraw and Mason Winslow are the Warrensville Lions Club Students of the Month, and Randi McKenna and Nason Tran are the Montoursville Lions Club Students of the Month.
Emily Rakestraw, daughter of David and Kimberly Rakestraw, is involved with Key club; student government; National Honor Society, Rho Kappa (Social Studies Honor Society); Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society); and is the president of Science National Honor Society. Emily is part of the Warrior Pals Program, in which she has a fourth grade pen pal from the district, and helps with a community project, Wreaths Across America. After high school, Emily plans to attend college to major in biology.
Mason Winslow, son of Ed and Joan Winslow, is captain of the boys’ soccer team; a member of the National Honor Society; Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society-secretary); student government; and track and field. Mason is also a member of Key club, in which he has been part of many service projects. After high school, Mason plans to attend a four-year college to major in business and data analytics.
Randi McKenna is involved in MAHS Youth Group; band; choir; PMEA band; Key club; Rho Kappa (Social Studies Honor Society); student government and Improv Troupe. Randi is part of the Warrior Pals Program, in which she has a pen pal from the district. She has also participated in the Walk for Multiple Sclerosis and 2022 homecoming court activities. After high school, Randi plans to attend Lycoming College to major in history and continue her career in music.
Nason (Huy) Tran, son of Duc Tran and Hien Le, is involved in National Honor Society; Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society); Key club; Rho Kappa (Social Studies Honor Society); student government; and basketball. Nason has volunteered with several Key club activities. After high school, Nason plans to attend a four-year university.
