January Jersey Shore Area High School Students of the Month

Each month Jersey Shore Area High School honors two seniors as students of the month. For January, Ryan Jeffrey Feger, Lions Club Student of the Month; and Ella Grace TenEyck, Business and Professional Women’s Student of the Month have been chosen to be acknowledged.

Ryan Jeffrey Feger, the son of Jeffrey and Melissa Feger of Jersey Shore, has been the treasurer for the Future Business Leaders of America both his junior and senior year. As FBLA treasurer, Ryan maintains and keeps track of the financials of JS FBLA’s record-setting project. Ryan was part of the historical #weSHOREcare Project where he helped raise over $35,000 and around 17,000 canned food items. As a member of FBLA, Ryan took first place in the Regional Accounting II test, third place in State Accounting II and was an FBLA National Qualifier. Ryan works part time at Feger Insurance in Customer Services. He is studying to obtain his property and casualty insurance license. Ryan volunteers at his church, Crossroads in Jersey Shore. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as watching sports. In addition to spending time with friends and family, Ryan also enjoys playing with his mini goldendoodle, Buddy. After high school, Ryan will be attending Lock Haven University in the fall, as a dual major in accounting and business management.

Ella Grace TenEyck, the daughter of Tracie and Jeremy of Limestone Township, has been a four-year member of FBLA. Last year, she was able to attend states with the organization. She was a member of the Orange and Black yearbook and the prom committee. She was inducted into the National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society during her senior year. She is currently the secretary of the National Art Honor Society. Ella was also a member of the Lady Bulldog basketball team in her freshman and sophomore years where she received the award for most improved player, in addition to playing varsity soccer in her freshman, sophomore and senior seasons. Outside of school, Ella is the secretary in her local 4-H group. She is an active member of her church parish, Immaculate Conception in Bastress where she can be seen alter serving at weekly masses and participating in the Memorial and Labor Day picnics with her family. Ella is a recipient of the Bishop’s Youth Award, given to young people for their exemplary practice of faith and service to others. Additionally, Ella enjoys hanging out with friends and family. Following graduation, Ella plans to attend Bloomsburg University to major in medical imaging.
