Warrior Run High School January Students of the Month
Each month, Warrior Run High School selects four seniors to acknowledge as students of the month. For the month of January, Adelle Louise Hunter, Outstanding Senior; Abigail Edith Evans, Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month; Alex Lee Brown, Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month; and Braeleigh Dawn Dunkle, Milton Rotary Club Vocational Student of the Month have all been chosen to be acknowledged.
Adelle Louise Hunter, the daughter of Brian and Angela Hunter, is involved in National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, student council and Spanish club. She is also a member of the field hockey and track teams. She has achieved captain status and MVP of the field hockey team, and is the president of the National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society. She is involved at the Community Mennonite Fellowship Youth Group and church. For her current employment, she cleans Airbnbs. Outside of the classroom, Adelle enjoys going on walks outside and painting. She plans to attend Houghton University to study elementary education and become an elementary school teacher.
Abigail Edith Evans, the daughter of Mark and Dawn Evans, is a member of student council, Spanish club, National Honor Society and the softball and basketball teams. For softball, she has achieved Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year awards. She is involved in the Lady Railers Softball team and is currently employed at American Eagle. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as playig softball and basketball. She plans to attend Wilson College to study exercise science and become a physical therapist.
Alex Lee Brown, the son of Steve and Annette Brown, is involved in pottery club, student council and outdoor club. He is also a member of the soccer, track and Unified Bocce Ball teams. He has achieved the Forward Player of the Year while playing high school soccer. In his free time, he is involved at his church and with the church’s youth group and enjoys skiing, cliff jumping and pottery. Though his college major is undecided, he hopes to attend a four-year college or university like Cedarville or Houghton universities.
Braeleigh Dawn Dunkle, the daughter of Jeremiah and Amy Dunkle, is the secretary for student council and is a part of National Honor Society and Warrior Run News. She was a member of the soccer team from her freshman to junior year. She also volunteers her time for Special Education Field Day. She has achieved a varsity letter in soccer, honor roll and distinguished honor roll. She currently plans, organizes and implements food drives at the school and helps run the Warrior Run Athletic Twitter account. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and playing soccer. She has not decided what university or college she would like to attend, but she hopes to attend a four-year university to major in digital media and minor in American Sign Language. In the future, she would like to work in a social media position.
