Warrior Run High School February Students of the Month

Each month, Warrior Run High School selects four seniors to acknowledge as students of the month. Emma Joyce Podobinski, Outstanding Senior; Morgan Olivia Way, Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month; Emily Renee Trautman, Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month; and Rachel Louise Fillman, Milton Rotary Club Vocational Student of the Month have all been chosen to be acknowledged.

Emma Joyce Podobinski, the daughter of Michael Podobinski and Emily Ayers, is the president of the class of 2023 and concert choir. She is also a member of student council, Spanish club, National Honor Society and the golf team. She has been an active member of the youth group at CMF in Milton and weekly worship team. Through that youth group, she has served on many mission trips including Gator Wilderness Camp School in Florida and Restoration Ministries in Chicago, Ill., according to the news release. She has also volunteered her time as a senior camp counselor at the Camp Good News in Northumberland. At Camp Good News, she has been named “Honor Camper.” She was also student of the month in October of 2022. She is currently employed at Old Navy and takes piano and voice lessons. She also enjoys playing the ukelele. In the future she hopes to attend Houghton University to study communications with a focus on integrated marketing with a minor in literature. She plans to also study abroad in London during her spring semester of her freshman year. After college she hopes to work as a social media marketing manager for a book publishing company.

Morgan Olivia Way, the daughter of Adam Way and Amy Gresh, is a member of choir and the golf team. She is currently employed at Weis Markets and enjoys pottery in her free time. She has also achieved honor roll and distinguished honor roll. She hopes to attend Bloomsburg University but is undecided on her major.

Emily Renee Trautman, the daughter of Mark and Erin Trautman, is a member of student council, choir and the golf team. She is currently the choir stage manager. She has also acheieved honor roll. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling. In the future, she hopes to attend Millersville University to study business with a focus in entrepreneurship. She plans to own her own business and become a real estate agent.

Rachel Louise Fillman, the daughter of John and Angie Fillman, is a member of the National Honor Society, Warrior Run News, choir and DCEA. She is also the president of DCEA. She has acheived distinguished honor roll. Rachel is currently employed at Dunkin’. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym and hanging out with her friends. IN the future, she hopes to become a paralegal, studying business administration at McCann School of Business and Technology and political science at Bloomsburg University.
