Warrior Run March Students of the Month
Each month Warrior Run High School selects four seniors to be acknowledged as students of the month. For the month of March, Sage Elizabeth Dunkleberger, Outstanding Senior; Holly Noel Hollenbach, Watsontown Lions Club Students of the Month; Pamela Eve Hornberger, Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month; and Ethan Horton, Milton Rotary Club Vocational Student of the Month have all been chosen to be acknowledged.
Sage Elizabeth Dunkleberger, the daughter of Robert and Nina Dunkleberger, is a member of the cross country and track and field teams, student council and National Honor Society where she is the secretary. She has earned distinguished honor roll, Warrior Run Girls Cross Country Outstanding Athlete Award, Warrior Run Girls Track and Field Most Outstanding Athlete Award, and has been a state qualifier in cross country and track and field. She was also on the 2020 PIAA AA cross country team where they were the state champions. She volunteers her time at the United Way and is a special education field day committee member. She is currently employed at Old Navy. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, visiting National Parks, reading, hiking and running. She hopes to obtain her master’s degree and a PhD. She hopes to study anthrophology and either become a college professor or a cultural anthropologist.
Pamela Eve Hornberger, the daughter of Shawn and Lisa Miller and Dalyn Hornberger, is a member of the cheerleading team and is a volunteer at the Turbotville Elementary School in Mrs. Thomas’ second grade classroom. She is currently employed at UPMC Skilled Nursing in Muncy. She has also earned the captain role on the cheearling team during football season and was an assistant coach during the competition season. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She hopes to attend Bloomsburg University to major in early childhood education and to become a second grade teacher.
Holly Noel Hollenbach, the daughter of Wendy Hollenbach, has been a member of the Warrior Run Concert Choir, piano accompianment, National Honor Society, Spanish club, Youth in Philanthropy, PMEA district choir, and was a member of the basketball team for her ninth and 10th grade years. She also takes time to be a part of a variety of missions trips including the Healthy Ninos Honduras medical mission trip and a trip to Belize. She has also participated int he 25th hour traveling basketball team, Next Level Strong traveling basketball team, is a Community Mennonite Fellowship Youth Group, Hope Community Church worship leader as well as attending Paiting Hope Community Church. She has achieved distinguished honor roll, the AP Scholar Award, Outstanding Accompanist: Dorney Park Music in the Park and has been an essay contest winner for the American Legion, Days of Rememberance and the Warrior Run Woman’s Club. She is also a seasonal employee at Tice Spinello Painting in Lewisburg. In her free time she enjoys going on mission trips, traveling, kayaking, hiking, thrifting and lifting. She hopes to attend a college to double major in intercultural studies and Spanish and plans to become a permanent foreign missionary.
Ethan Gorton, the son of Jeffrey and Kathy Gorton, is currently involved at his church and is currently employed at Fick’s Hardware. In his free time, he enjoys classic car restoration, hunting and fishing. He plans on entering the job force after graduation and obtaining his CDL to find employment in the railroad industry.
