Jersey Shore FBLA has ‘huge successes’ at states

The Jersey Shore Area School District students in the Future Business Leaders of America organization, along with three chaperones and one advisor, journeyed to Hershey for the annual State Leadership Conference — and they brought back “huge successes,” according to the news release.

At the conference, students got to attend workshops and network with other students. They also competed against other state schools in a variety of events that they chose for this year. The tests ranged from objective tests to performances.

Seven students placed in the top 10 in the state and one student placed in the top four, qualifying for the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta in late June.

The place winners and their respective events include:

• Andrew Greenwood, 10th place, business calculations

• Matthew Fravel, ninth place, client service

• Tracey Mucklemann, eighth place, entrepreneurship

• Garrett Kupres, seventh place, accounting II

• Team of Rachel Lorson and Elijah Bower, seventh place, American Enterprise Project

• Emily Stevenson, fourth place, business communication, national qualifier
