School district to see one competitive race to represent Region 3 in November
East Lycoming School District will see one competitive race to represent Region 3 in November’s election.
Craig Dudek and Scott Ritter won Republican nominations with 413 votes and 172 votes, respectively. Donna Gavitt and Scott Ritter won Democratic nominations with 99 votes and 80 votes, respectively. The three will compete in the fall for two seats.
In Region 1, Floyd Swales Jr. won the sole Republican nomination, getting 516 votes. There were no Democratic candidates filed. In Region 2, Shannon R. McConnell-Barlett won both a Republican nomination with 186 votes and a Democratic nomination with 96 votes.
There are two seats to represent Region 2 up for election; however, no one ran for either party’s second nomination.
