Following a national search for a new head of its enrollment management division, Lycoming College today announced that Chip Hinton has been named associate vice president for enrollment management and will serve as the College's chief enrollment officer. In this position, Hinton will guide Lycoming as it faces an increasingly challenging enrollment landscape and seeks to maximize student enrollment at the liberal arts and sciences institution.
As associate vice president for enrollment management, Hinton will oversee undergraduate admissions, admissions operations, and financial aid. As a member of the president's cabinet, he will lead the division of enrollment management and the greater campus community in developing and executing data informed, and research driven, strategic enrollment plans to meet Lycoming College's enrollment goals. Hinton replaces Mike Konopski who continues to serve the College in a senior advisor capacity.
Previously, Hinton served as assistant vice president of enrollment and marketing at Carroll College in Helena, Mont., where he managed a team of 20 colleagues with a $2.9 million annual operating budget. Prior to that, Hinton held leadership roles at the University of Mary and at Lincoln College of Technology, as well as serving as an instructor of accounting and business at both Herzing College and The University of Mary. He holds a bachelor's degree from Benedict College, and a master's of business administration from the University of Mary.
