Williamsport Area High School seniors Nicole Briel and Haley Counsil, engineering students in Liz Manetta’s Career and Technical Education program, were selected as the two winners of PPL Energy Management $1,500 scholarships to Pennsylvania College of Technology. The two were selected after attending a field trip with several other Pennsylvania technical school students to a PPL Energy Management seminar at Penn College in September and then submitting an essay titled “Energy Management and the Environment.” The scholarships will be used toward their Penn College tuition next fall.
