Loyalsock Township High School November and December Students of the Month
Loyalsock Township High School acknowledged Anna Luxenberger and Chase Cowden as students of the month for November and December.
Anna Luxenberger, daughter of Heidi and Joe Luxenberger has been nominated by the math department as the November Student of the Month. Anna is a member of the National Honor Society, has been on the high honor roll every semester in high school to date and has a 4.0 GPA. She is also an active member of Key Club, interact club, student council, is the class of 2024 secretary, Spanish Club secretary and SADD Club vice president. Anna has been a member of the girls’ basketball and softball teams all four years of high school. Outside of school, she has completed over 100 hours of community service by helping at church events, basketball and softball camps, dog sitting, babysitting and other school events. She enjoys hiking, baking and hanging out with her friends. After college, Anna plans to major in secondary education to become a high school math teacher.
Chase Cowden, son of Matthew and Chelsee Cowden has been nominated by the technology and engineering department as the December Student of the Month. Chase has been on the high honor roll every semester in high school to date and currently has a 4.0 GPA. Chase is a member of the National Honor Society, Christian Club and is the secretary of the investment club. Chase has also been a member of the boy’s golf team for four years. Outside of school he volunteers at St. Boniface Church Sunday School, the Williamsport Country Club, has served meals at Schick Elementary and has been a student ambassador for incoming ninth grade orientations. Chase is also a member of the Uptown Music Collective’s Special Performance Group, where he serves as first chair for the piano section and plays drums. After high school, Chase plans to attend a four-year college to study aerospace engineering.
