Jersey Shore Area High School February Students of the Month
Each month, Jersey Shore Area High School selects two students to acknowledge as students of the month. Cloe Isabel Allison, Lions Club Student of the Month, and Emily Elizabeth Stevenson, Business and Professional Women’s Student of the Month, have been chosen for their work in and out of the classroom.
Cloe Isabel Allison, the daughter of Nicole and Stephen Allison, has left an indelible mark throughout her high school experience with an impressive list of accomplishments. A dedicated member of Future Business Leaders of America for all four years, Cloe currently serves as the community service manager, showcasing her commitment to making a positive impact. Her active participation in FBLA includes an accolade earned at a regional conference during her 11th grade year. In addition to her involvement in extracurricular activities, Cloe participated in track and field during her ninth grade year and was a member of Model UN in the same year. Cloe’s commitment to service is evident through her involvement in #WeShoreCare during her first two years of high school. She holds a two-year membership in the English Honor Society from 10th to 12th grade and is a two-year member of the National Honor Society. Cloe has consistently achieved Distinguished Honor Roll status for every marking period, reflecting her academic excellence. Her high school journey also includes participation in the outdoor club during her 11th-grade year, while she joined the Art Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) in her 12th-grade year. Additionally, Cloe devoted two years to the Bible Club in her last two years of high school. Outside of her academic and volunteer commitments, Cloe invests time in community service at the Love Center, tutors fifth graders, and works part-time at the Shore Diner. In her free time, Cloe enjoys spending time with family, her boyfriend and friends. Whether shopping, sleeping or enjoying the outdoors, Cloe finds joy in various activities. Looking ahead, Cloe intends to stay local after graduation and pursue studies in business education. She envisions returning to Jersey Shore High School to contribute to the community that has played a significant role in shaping her academic and personal growth.
Emily Elizabeth Stevenson, the daughter of Shelly and Wilmer Stevenson from Jersey Shore, has been recognized for her exceptional achievements and contributions. Throughout her high school journey, Emily has been an active participant in various clubs and societies, showcasing her dedication and leadership skills. Notably, she served as the social media manager for the school’s FBLA during her junior and senior years, contributing significantly to its online presence. Emily’s academic prowess is further underscored by her membership in the National English Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Constitutional Convention, Model UN, Mock Trial, National Honor Society, track and field and MU Alpha Theta. Emily’s commitment to academic excellence extends beyond her own studies, as she occasionally tutors fellow students in math and science. Her notable achievements in FBLA competitions include securing first place at regionals for Introduction to Business Communication, second place at regionals for Business Communication and an impressive fourth place at states for Business Communication, thereby earning a well-deserved spot at the national level. Additionally, as a junior Emily participated in the Youth Leadership Program hosted by Pennsylvania College of Technology. Emily indulges in various interests outside of school, including drawing, playing video games, painting and spending quality time with friends and family. Her passion for helping others extends to assisting with academics and her involvement in community activities. In the future, Emily has set her sights on a major in mathematics in college with the goal of becoming a secondary math teacher.
