Three local school districts and their students participated in BLaST Intermediate Unit 17's, 22nd annual 2024 Regional Media and Design Competition, which is hosted by Lycoming College, according to a press release.

Twenty high school and middle school students from Williamsport, Montgomery and Athens area school districts participated in six different categories. The categories included digital movie, graphic design and logo 3D design, web page design, programming and animation.

"I'm always amazed by the creativity and dedication from our students during this competition," Renee Peluso, competition coordinator, said in the release. "We were excited to host this in person again finally. We look forward to the experience and many more project submissions next year."

Representatives from local entities as well as Pennsylvania State University, district faculty and BLaST IU 17, participated in judging the many projects that were submitted by students.
