Williamsport Area High School students Kaleb Kelly, Alanna Ramos, William Ciabatarri, Olivia Ciabattari, Megan Radspinner and Samuel Radulski have been selected to perform in PMEA’s Honors Music Ensemble this weekend in Erie.

Several area students have been selected to participate in a weekend of performances by high school musicians from across the state considered to be at the highest level within their fortes.

Montoursville sophomore Alice Ravert will perform as part of the state Pennsylvania Educators Association All-State Chorus Ensemble on Saturday in Erie.

"Ali is such a talented vocalist. She takes anything you throw at her and performs it flawlessly every time. I am so incredibly proud of her and this accomplishment," said Kirstin Gist, high school choral director.

Williamsport has four students participating in the choir -- Olivia and William Ciabattari, Megan Radspinner and Alanna Ramos. Kaleb Kelly will play the tuba in the All-State Wind Ensemble and Samuel Radulski will play string bass in the All-State Concert Band.

"Our congratulations go out to the student musicians that have been selected to be part of the 2024 PMEA All-State Festival," said Scott Cullen, PMEA president and music educator in the Octorara Area School District. "There is nothing quite like coming together for a unique performance experience that only the PMEA All-State Festival can provide. The students selected to participate in these ensembles represent all the amazing music programs from across the commonwealth and remind us of how strong music education is in Pennsylvania."

The festival will take place in Erie today through Saturday. Nationally recognized conductors at the convention direct the groups, who rehearse for two days and conclude with a performance.
