St. John Neumann senior earns full-tuition scholarship to Mount Aloysius College
St. John Neumann Regional Academy senior Lizzie Weller recently was awarded the Mount Aloysius College Valedictorian/Salutatorian Award, a Mother Frances Warde Foundress Fellowship scholarship.
The competitive scholarship is awarded to high school seniors enrolling as first-time, full-time freshmen who have attained the honor of being Valedictorian or Salutatorian of their respective graduating high school class, according to a press release announcing the award.
The scholarship is full tuition and is renewable each year based on maintaining a required 3.3 GPA and completing 30 credits or more each academic year, the release said.
Students must be enrolled in a bachelor degree program and be a residential student.
To apply, Weller had to meet the requirements of class valedictorian/salutatorian status, a 1280 SAT or 26 ACT score and a 3.5 GPA. Weller also had to write an essay and take part in a competitive interview process, according to the news release.
