LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — Colleen H. Mahoney, of Williamsport, was recently welcomed into the University of Louisville School of Medicine, receiving her white coat and taking the Oath of Hippocrates.

The oath is a pledge to put future patients first, serve humanity and maintain the utmost respect for human life.

The Williamsport Area High School graduate completed a dual degree program, majoring in physics and violin performance at Ithaca College, before receiving a violin performance diploma from Indiana University at South Bend.

She then continued her foray into health care, working as a scribe and clinical research assistant.
