Jersey Shore names Emma Gill student of the month for March, Hayes Rinker for April

Emma Lillian Gill, daughter of Beth and Dennis Gill of Jersey Shore, has been selected as the March Student of the Month by the Business and Professional Women's Club at Jersey Shore Area Senior High School.
Throughout her high school career, Emma has been an active and dedicated student, demonstrating excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, and community service. She has held the position of Class Secretary for all four years of high school, showing her commitment to leadership and school involvement.
Emma's involvement extends beyond student government. She is a member of the National English Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the National Art Honor Society. Additionally, she has been a valuable member of the school's soccer team and has participated in the Homecoming Committee, Prom Committee, and the Penn College Leadership Program.
Emma's dedication to service is evident in her volunteer work at the Love Center, the YWCA, and the Pennsylvania Food Bank. She has also contributed to environmental efforts by planting trees at Ryder Park and has used her technical skills by running the sound system at her church.
Her hard work and commitment have earned her recognition, including a varsity letter in soccer and memberships in multiple honor societies. Outside of her academic and extracurricular pursuits, Emma enjoys hunting, painting, shopping, and spending time with friends.
Looking ahead, Emma plans to attend college at Susquehanna University for exploratory studies.
The Jersey Shore Lions Club proudly announces Hayes A.W. Rinker as the April Student of the Month. Hayes is the son of Joseph and Trina Rinker of Jersey Shore. Known for his academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service, Hayes exemplifies the qualities of a well-rounded and community-minded student.
A dedicated member of the Key Club for three years, Hayes currently serves as vice president, contributing significantly to the club's mission of service. Hayes also serves as the secretary of National Art Honors Society. His involvement in school extends further with participation in the Outdoor Club, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Youth Development Task Force (YDTF), and Mock Trial. He also played a leadership role in organizing the homecoming parade and is actively involved with his church community.
Hayes has devoted many hours to volunteer work, including helping at local food banks, assisting with trail cleanup, and picking up litter around town. He also volunteers at an elderly home, showing compassion and a deep sense of responsibility to others.
Academically, Hayes has consistently earned a place on the distinguished honor roll throughout his high school career. In addition to his scholastic and extracurricular achievements, Hayes has worked part-time as a host at his family's business, Harvest Moon, since his freshman year, demonstrating strong work ethic and professionalism.
In his free time, Hayes enjoys drawing and spending time with his family and friends. Following graduation, he plans to attend college at either Penn State University or the University of Pittsburgh to pursue a career in dermatology through the physician assistant pathway.
