WAHS students excel at regional Model U.N. Convention

Forty-eight students from Williamsport
Area High School showcased their diplomatic skills on Friday at the regional Model United
Nations convention held at Pennsylvania College of Technology, competing against more than
150 students from 11 area schools.
WAHS students earned high marks throughout the event, with 24 students receiving
Superior Delegate awards. Eight students had their resolutions selected for debate, with two
successfully passing. Additionally, four of WAHS’s 14 country delegations were honored with
Superior Delegation awards.
One of the day’s top honors — the Most Accurate Representation trophy — was awarded
to Guilhem Colin, Emily Kime, Paiton Miller and Cali Reed for their outstanding portrayal of
France, Colin’s home country.
