OceAnn Calandra Green, Daniel Louis Pecchia named Jersey Shore’s students of the month of June

Jersey Shore Senior High School proudly recognizes OceAnn Calandra Green as the June 2025 Business and Professional Women’s Student of the Month. The daughter of William and Nicole Green of Jersey Shore, OceAnn has built an impressive high school resume filled with leadership, service, and school spirit.

A dedicated four-year member of the cheerleading squad, OceAnn served as captain during both her junior and senior years. She also earned varsity letters in both cheerleading and marching band, where she held the role of Marching Tech as a senior. She was part of the 2023 competitive cheerleading team that qualified for states and was named an All-American through UCA summer camp. In addition to cheerleading, she was involved in chorus, Key Club for three years, two years of Renaissance Club, and two years in the National Spanish Honor Society.

OceAnn’s dedication extends into the community as well. She has worked as a lifeguard at the Jersey Shore public pool for three years and is also employed at All Things Bright and Beautiful Daycare. She volunteers for youth cheerleading programs, National Night Out, and the Jersey Shore Care & Share Pantry, and has participated in youth group events through Saint John Lutheran Church. Her service and leadership were recognized early on when she was selected as the Lions Club Student of the Month during her freshman year.

In her free time, OceAnn enjoys spending time with friends and family, going on trips, shopping, painting her nails, listening to music, and catching movies. After graduation, she plans to attend Lock Haven University to study Early Childhood Education, with the goal of becoming a teacher. With her passion for learning, leadership and giving back, OceAnn is a deserving recipient of this honor.

Jersey Shore Senior High School proudly announces Daniel Louis Pecchia as the June 2025 Lions Club Student of the Month. The son of Amy and John Pecchia of Jersey Shore, Daniel has made his mark through a strong combination of academics, extracurricular involvement, and hands-on work experience.

Throughout high school, Daniel has been an active member of the Outdoor Club all four years and participated in FBLA during his freshman and sophomore years. He was a dedicated member of the soccer team during his freshman and junior years, earning two varsity letters. In his later high school years, he joined the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society, showcasing both his academic strength and creative interests.

Outside the classroom, Daniel has demonstrated a strong commitment to service and professional development. He volunteered with Vacation Bible School, works as a martial arts instructor at 308 Martial Arts, and holds a part-time job at Blaise Alexander Nissan, where he’s already building experience in his future career field. In his free time, Daniel enjoys hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, learning about cars, and attending car shows.

After graduation, Daniel plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology to study Automotive Technology Management. With his passion for the automotive industry, combined with a strong work ethic and leadership through service, Daniel is a deserving recipient of this recognition from the Jersey Shore Lions Club.
