Jersey Shore announces high school, Lions Club students of the month

Jersey Shore Senior High School proudly recognizes Lynna Jean Clark as the September 2025 Business and Professional Women’s Student of the Month. The daughter of Jessica and Scott Clark of Bastress, Lynna has shown exceptional dedication to academics, leadership, athletics, and community service throughout her high school career.

A standout athlete and leader, Lynna has been a four-year member of the softball team, serving as team captain in her junior year. She has earned a varsity letter each season and has been recognized with the Bulldog Award as a sophomore and Offensive Player of the Year as a junior. Beyond athletics, she has been an active participant in numerous school organizations, including Key Club, FBLA, Bocce, Student Council, Red Cross Club, Pep Club, Better Together, and the Orange and Black Yearbook staff. She is also a member of the National English Honor Society and has served as class secretary for her sophomore through senior years. Currently, she leads as the president of Key Club and secretary of the Better Together program.

Lynna’s commitment to service is reflected in her volunteer work with the Elm Park Softball Association and her leadership in school-based service projects. She also works as a waitress at the Mountaineer Lounge, balancing her academics and extracurricular activities with professionalism and dedication. Her accomplishments include qualifying for states through FBLA and being crowned Queen Tiadaghton, a testament to her character and involvement in the community.

Outside of school, Lynna enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, reading, and helping out at her family’s restaurant. After graduation, she plans to attend college to study elementary and special education, aspiring to make a positive difference in the lives of future students.

Jersey Shore Senior High School proudly announces Alison Ann Bilbay-Miller as the Lions Club Student of the Month for September 2025. The daughter of Alicia Bilbay-Miller and Jeffery Miller of Piatt Township, Alison has demonstrated exceptional dedication to academics, athletics, leadership, and community involvement throughout her high school career.

A standout in Track and Field, Alison has competed in both discus and shot put since her freshman year, qualifying for Districts every season. She earned medals in discus during her freshman and sophomore years, has lettered each season, and received multiple awards including Highest Scoring Female Freshman and Outstanding Underclassman in the Field. Alison is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National English Honor Society, and Key Club. Through these organizations, she has been actively involved in service projects such as Care and Share food distribution, senior center events, and Read Across America.

Beyond her school commitments, Alison was selected as one of three students from Jersey Shore to participate in the Penn College Youth Leadership Program, where she completed community service projects and attended leadership workshops. She also volunteered at the YWCA, Rider Park, the Central PA Food Bank, Dwell, and the United Churches of Lycoming County. Additionally, she worked at Bald Birds Brewery, volunteered at local polling stations, and mentored her younger brother in discus and shot put.

Outside of school, Alison enjoys photography, writing, hiking, and spending time with family. A devoted fan of Elvis Presley, she has visited Graceland five times since 2022, creating cherished memories with her loved ones. After graduation, Alison plans to attend Lycoming College, where she received the Presidential Academic Scholarship. She intends to study criminal justice with the goal of becoming an investigator.
