Montoursville FBLA members advance to State Leadership Conference
Thirty Montoursville High School FBLA members and their adviser, Linda Keiser, attended the Region 7 Conference at Pennsylvania College of Technology on Wednesday, Jan. 7. More than 500 students from 12 schools attended the conference. Students attended workshops on Leadership and Team Dynamics in Business, FBLA Trivia, and Marketing Madness. Students who competed in performance events, competed at the conference. Those students who competed in events that were objective tests, tested at their school and then got the results at the awards ceremony at the conference. Those students who placed high enough are qualified to advance to the State Leadership Conference. Twenty-six members of Montoursville FBLA placed high enough to compete at the state level: Jordan Cohick, Haden Ferguson, and Aiden Jackson placed 1st in Intro to Marketing Concepts; Austin Davidson and Carlos Tira placed 1st in Sports and Entertainment Management; Colton Beadle placed 1st in Business Management; Zelma Haight placed 2nd in Intro to Public Speaking; Rowan Fortin, Becca Teffeteller, and Christian Berwanger placed 2nd in Sales Presentation; Elyse Boyle placed 5th in Business Communication; Reese Peterson placed 2nd in Economics; Pearl Young placed 6th in Healthcare Administration; Brynn Connelly, Avery Hannan, and Hailey Shannon placed 4th in Hospitality and Event Management; Giovanni Catino placed 4th in Human Resource Management; Adele Dunkelberger placed 5th in Human Resource Management; Abby Strassner placed 4th in Intro to FBLA; Catherine Hittle placed 3rd in Journalism; Owen Fagnano placed 3rd in Intro to Marketing Concepts; Simon Dietrich placed 6th in Personal Finance; Tori McKenna placed 6th in Securities and Investments; Alex Martyniuk placed 3rd in Technology Support and Services; Walker Wood placed 4th in Computer Problem Solving; and Cullen Pauling placed 5th in Computer Problem Solving.
