The easy-to-learn computer courses are taught by qualified instructors at a comfortable pace for all levels of adult learners. ‘Shark Tank’ panelist Kevin O’Leary to speak at Bucknell University

LEWISBURG — Entrepreneur, investor and renowned ABC Shark Tank panelist Kevin O’Leary is the next 2024-25 Bucknell Forum series speaker and will appear at the university on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Weis Center for the Performing Arts, where he will discuss this year’s “World in Transition” theme. East Lycoming School Board hires teachers, sets tax collector rates

East Lycoming School District has hired and repositioned several teachers and support staff. In what was termed a secondary chemistry teacher transfer, Clinton Swartz was approved to transfer from an 8th grade science teacher to a senior high chemistry teacher at the high school. Robert Reichold was approved as a long-term substitute teacher for 8th grade science at a cost of $175 per day with optional benefits that were retroactive effective Jan. 14. Union: No-confidence vote for president set for mid-February

Faculty members and coaches at Bloomsburg, Lock Haven and Mansfield campuses of Commonwealth University are expected to take a no-confidence vote on its president, Bashar Hanna, on Tuesday, Feb. 11, and Wednesday, Feb. 12. According to a release from the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties (APSCUF), the vote will be taken electronically and via anonymous ballot at this time.
