Commonwealth University seeks employers for spring career expo

Commonwealth University is seeking employers to participate in several boutique-style career expos it will offer to its students during the spring 2024 semester at its Bloomsburg, Lock Haven and Mansfield locations. For each expo, employers can attend one campus for one day for $100, two campuses for $150 or all three campus locations for $200. CU-Lock Haven Health Science Club awarded American Lung Association grant to help students quit using tobacco

LOCK HAVEN — The Commonwealth University-Lock Haven Health Science Club was awarded a $2,000 grant to implement a Freedom From Smoking (FFS) in-person tobacco cessation program on campus. The American Lung Association is working with colleges and universities in northcentral Pennsylvania to support students and staff with quitting all tobacco use, including vaping. The evidence-based seven-week program will begin in January 2024 and each session is designed to help tobacco users quit smoking by gaining control over their behavior.
