‘College Night’ event invites local high school students to learn about new opportunities

The Lycoming County Counselors Association (LCCA) and Lycoming College invite local high school students to attend “College Night” on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Keiper Recreation Center on the College’s campus. The annual event offers students and families the chance to speak with representatives from 55 colleges and universities to explore possibilities and find the right college for them. LOCK HAVEN —The exhibit, “Opening Doors: Contemporary African American Academic Surgeons,” will be held through Oct. 7 in Commonwealth University-Lock Haven’s Stevenson Library lobby. BLOOMSBURG — Manuel Gutierrez, a December 2022 graduate of Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg has been awarded a prestigious fellowship by the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
