Nearly 300 students have petitioned to graduate following the Fall 2022 semester at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The college will hold a commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Community Arts Center. The student speaker for the ceremony will be Maci Nicole Ilgen, of Spring Mills, who will be awarded a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Brighter Financial Futures (dba PennCFL) announced that Jersey Shore Area High School was a winner in a state Woodlands Bank Stock Market Challenge competition under the leadership of Tim Dershem, according to a press release. Competitions are held in classrooms county- and state-wide and Jersey Shore finished in first place for Lycoming County and Top 10 in the state-wide competition, the press release said.
